Deeds and transfers

When a property is sold or given to someone else, a deed must be prepared and presented to the county for transfer and recording. Deeds that do not meet the county’s transfer and conveyance standards can be rejected, so check them first. Once processed, the new owner and transfer date appear in county records, but they can take time to reach the public data this site reads, so a new owner may not show on our property search right away.

Recorded documents

Deeds, mortgages and liens are recorded with the county so there is a public history of ownership. The county restricts automated collection of these records, so this site does not copy them. A property page here shows the last transfer date and recorded price only. Use the parcel number to search the official records.

Vehicle titles

This site covers property records and property taxes. It does not handle car or boat titles; use the county’s Auto Title Division linked above.
